Miss Garden Route & Klein Karoo gala event
The Garden Route and Klein Karoo community were treated to a spectacular showcase of beauty, fashion and entertainment at the Miss Garden Route & Klein Karoo gala event. Gala event highlights included performances by Flip A Coin, Nadine, Gift Gwe and Paul Rothmann. Guests were treated to a fashion expose, with evening gown designs by the top Southern Cape fashion designers showcased by Miss Garden Route & Klein Karoo finalists. The program for the evening also included a fashion exhibition of Ostrich inspired dresses by Oudtshoorn designer Deon Oelofse, elegantly brought to life on the catwalk by previous Miss Garden Route & Klein Karoo winners. The overall winner of the shelter make over project was announced during the evening as well as the brand new face of Southern Cape Tourism. The sheer singing talent of Mercia Lombard (runner-up in the national idols competition) during the awarding of the shelter make-over prize proved to be the fitting end to an evening filled with memorable highlights.
